Naga Rum

Selection of one of the best rums of the Thailand

Distillation process:

1. Sugar cane is grown and processed into molasses in the distillery plantations.
2. NAGA Thailand Edition rum is distilled 5 times in columns.
3. The rum is then aged at the distillery, in 200 liters American oak casks ex-bourbon. In order to maintain a constant temperature, the cellar is located below ground level.
4. The angel share is still between 7% and 9% per year.
5. The barrels are racked several times and refilled with an equivalent aged rum.

Tasting notes:

This naga thailand edition rum, with its long maturation under wood, develops a lush brown sugar nose, complex spicy and woody aromas. On the palate, rum has a supple and round structure, characteristic of naga rums. Then the spicy flavors appear and support elegant notes of candied fruit, vanilla oak and tender leaf of blond tobacco.

Nous avons mis à vieillir un an supplémentaire dans des fûts de Sherry Pedro Ximenez notre rhum du Royaume de Siam à 62% qui avait déjà passé 10 ans dans des barriques de chêne américain ex bourbon et l’avons réduit à 46% afin qu’il donne toute la puissance de ses arômes.

Tasting notes:

Robe : à l'inverse d'un vieux Sauternes, sa robeambrée prend une couleur dorée étonnante pour un vieux rhum. Son nez est beurré, gourmand et quelques notes de fruits secs laissent déjà poindre le bout de leurs arômes. La bouche est d'abord puissante du fait de ses 46 % mais reste élégante et suave. Les épices, le tabac blond et la noix jouent des coudes. Puis la bouche s'adoucit, s'arrondit et s'allonge de notes boisées, mielées et d'ar^mes de raisins de Corinthe.
